Stunning Large Mixed Metal Copper Sterling Silver Peru Incan Design Vintage Trinket Art Box

This is an incredible hand made mixed metal art trinket box produced in Peru by artist Gerth Kohler. The front cover features an ancient Inca style design with a central dimensional figure applied to the top holding a snake bird like animal. The silver on the cover is stamped 925 (sterling quality). The body of the box is a beautiful oxidized copper with nice green color variations. Artist label on the back, likely dates to 1960s or 1970s. Larger size, measures 5.5 inches wide, 4.75 inches deep and 1 inch high closed. Nice quality feel, weighs just over 1 pound. The interior is wood lined.
