A stunning set of four (4) antique Edwardian era vanity dressing table grooming brushes. Produced by Mappin and Webb in England, each is hallmarked featuring sterling silver tops with a hand hammered textured honeycomb pattern. These absorb light nicely and are an impressive eye catching set. Each has a central armorial design that appears to feature a horse or similar animal from a family Coat of Arms. The tops and sides have thick sterling silver covers over a wood form. It is not possible to weigh silver alone, total weight of all brushes is 1 pound 5 ounces. Very good condition with light surface wear, a few small dents, bristles are also intact and vary in size and coarseness based on its purpose for hair or clothes. The two oval brushes measure 5 inches long, 3.25 inches wide and 1.75 inch high. The two rectangular brushes measure 6.5 inches long, 1.5 inch wide and 1.75 inch high.
