A very rare Art Deco 1920's money or checkbook clip produced by notable maker Cartier. This stunning piece features an engine turned design with stripes of gold in two different colors. The front has a central square with engraved monogram. A spring hing holds the clip together with a central support to slide a miniature checkbook or cash. The interior is gold washed and it is signed "Cartier 14K and Sterling". Measures 3 inches wide, just under 2 inches deep, 0.25 inch high. Weighs 50 grams.

The craftsmanship is top notch, Cartier is the Rolls Royce of jewelry with a prestigious pedigree of being collected by elite royalty, celebrities, and high power individuals. Good condition, light signs of wear, surface scratches. Please review the photos for further assessment.
